This page explains what data Check and Validate collects, why, and how you can control it. We have kept it in plain language rather than dense legal text.
What this site does not do
Every validator on this site runs entirely in your browser. The numbers you type into a tool, such as a CNP, a DNI, a NIE, or an IBAN, are never sent to a server, stored in a database, or seen by anyone else. There is no account system and nothing to sign up for.
Cookies
This site uses cookies for two purposes: to remember whether you have accepted or declined the cookie notice, and to support the advertising described below. Your browser lets you block or delete cookies at any time through its settings, though doing so may cause the cookie banner to reappear on your next visit.
Google AdSense and third-party advertising
Check and Validate uses Google AdSense to show ads, which is how the site stays free. Google and other third-party advertising vendors use cookies to serve ads based on a visitor's prior visits to this site and to other sites across the web. This is sometimes called interest-based or personalized advertising. It works by tracking browsing patterns at the browser or device level, not by identifying who you are, and it does not include personal identifiers such as your name, home address, or email address.

Your advertising choices
If you would prefer not to see personalized ads, you can adjust your settings directly with Google at adssettings.google.com, or use the industry-wide opt-out tools at aboutads.info. Both let you opt out of interest-based advertising across many participating sites and advertisers, not just this one.
You can also disable cookies entirely through your browser's settings, which applies to the cookies used for advertising as well as the one this site uses to remember your cookie banner choice. Doing so may cause some conveniences, such as remembering that choice between visits, to stop working as expected.
Visitors in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom
Because this site serves visitors in the European Union, including Romania and Spain, and in the United Kingdom, visitors in those regions are shown a consent message that lets them choose whether to allow personalized advertising, in line with Google's certified consent requirements. Your choice is remembered so you are not asked on every visit.
Analytics
This site may use a privacy-conscious analytics tool to understand overall traffic, such as which pages are visited and roughly how many people visit, so the site can be improved. Any analytics used here does not identify you personally and is separate from the advertising cookies described above.
Children's privacy
This site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date at the top.
